Tröegs Teams Up With Ever Grain To Release Local Dorks IPA

Tröegs Independent Brewing announces the release of Local Dorks IPA, a collaboration with Ever Grain Brewing Company.

As part of its Collaboration Beer Series for 2025, Tröegs teamed up with the Camp Hill, PA-based independent craft brewery to create this 6.6% ABV American IPA that celebrates a longstanding friendship within the Central PA craft beer scene.

“We started talking and quickly realized we both geek-out on beer,” says Tröegs co-founding brother and brewmaster John Trogner. “In our dorkiness, we landed on an American IPA with a fruity interpretation on the style.”

The beer highlights Nelson Sauvin hops, a variety with origins in New Zealand known for its distinctive white grape character. Simcoe and Citra hops combine to contribute bold notes of stone fruit, citrus, and a dankness to balance the beer with a crisp finish.

“It’s totally unlike our Perpetual and Ever Grain’s Joose Juicy,” says Trogner, “but in the end our brewing experiences with each of those beers influenced Local Dorks.”

Previous Tröegs collaborations include Warwick Farm Brewing, Tonewood Brewing, Dewey Beer Company, and Our Town Brewery, among others.

“Collaborating with other breweries is a great way to branch out and learn from one another,” adds Trogner. “It gives us an alternate perspective on things we might take for granted, like ingredient selection and brewing techniques.”

Beer drinkers can find Local Dorks IPA on draft and in limited 16-oz. cans at Tröegs as well as around Central PA using the Tröegs Brew Finder. Additionally, several bars and restaurants throughout Central PA will host release parties featuring the beer. Visit troegs.com/events for details.
