Nestled in the 28 acre complex known as Ambler Yards you will find the Ambler Beer Company. We recently toured this future brewery with owner and head brewer Doug Buddle. This 4,500 square foot, 10 barrel brewery is scheduled to open Friday, August 30th at 4:00 PM!
A New York native, Doug has spent most of his adult life in the Montgomery County area of Pennsylvania. Having spent many years as a homebrewer Ambler Beer Co will be Doug’s entry into the commercial brewing world. As he described to us he wants to offer a wide variety of beer to his future customers. While he is partial towards Belgians and hop forward beers; he plans to offer IPA’s, Lagers, Pale Ale’s and much more as well. So that no matter when you walk into the brewery you are sure to find something you enjoy, regardless of your profile.
The 113 person, 1,800 square foot tap room will boast a 12 tap draft system, with 8 of those being poured right from serving tanks. While the brewery will not have a kitchen, they will offer light snacks (charcuterie, cheese plates, etc) as well as work with local food trucks and eateries in the area. The brewery will also be BYOF (bring your own food).

As we mentioned above, this brewery is a part of the future Ambler Yards project located on Brookside Ave. Which is described as “vintage structures re-imagined into creative, one-of-a-kind open workspaces. Accommodating the growth & expansion of new or established businesses.” The brewery will fit perfectly into this concept of shining a spotlight on the local community.
