BRU DADDY’S Brewing Company announced today it is the recipient of a Silver Medal at the 2025 U.S. Open Beer Championship for its Pastry Fiend Key Lime Pie fruited sour. The entry competed in the Other Kettle Sours category. BRÜ DADDY’S has won national and international awards for its beer in five of the last six years since they opened in 2019.
Pastry Fiend Key Lime Pie is a part of BRÜ DADDY’S seasonal rotation of sours. Todd Reinhardt, BRÜ DADDY’S head brewer and Kevin Ryan, BRÜ DADDY’S COO developed Pastry Fiend Key Lime Pie. “The challenge in brewing this beer was to replicate what it was named for and to get all the sensory components right which meant lots of flavor adjustments”, said Reinhardt. The beer is in distribution in the 30 PA counties where BRÜ DADDY’S is distributing their beer currently. “We’re thrilled to win an award for this beer. It’s one of our favorite beers to brew, we receive tons of great feedback in the taproom and out at beer festivals with Pastry Fiend Key Lime Pie”, said Ryan. “We’re launching a Blueberry Peach Cobbler variant this August that I’m sure people will love”, he added.
BRÜ DADDY’S completed construction of a production brewery in 2023 and began distributing their beer locally through Banko Beverage of Allentown. Since then, the brand has expanded its distribution to the Philadelphia market, partnering with Muller, Inc. of Philadelphia and in South Central PA through ACE Distributing in York, PA. The beer is on tap at Coca Cola Park and PPL Center in Allentown and can be found at retail stores, taverns and restaurants throughout the Lehigh Valley, Philadelphia and surrounding counties, as well as central PA locations including Harrisburg, Lancaster, and York.
BRÜ DADDY’S Brewing Co. originally opened as a brewpub that touts their GOOD BEER, REAL FOOD, and COOL VIBES and has developed a reputation for serving food that’s as good as the beer. Reservations are recommended.
