When Inner Groove Brewing celebrated its first anniversary, it was during the height of the pandemic and things were a bit different. The event was a socially distanced, sit down/mask on, ticketed event. And while they made the most of it and had a fantastic celebration, it wasn’t quite what they had planned.
A full year later, and with restrictions being mostly lifted, the brewery is ready to throw the vinyl beer party of the year. Join them on Saturday, June 5th for live music, food, and of course…..beer!
Railroad Ave, the street out front of Inner Groove Brewing, will be closed for an all-day Vinyl DJ block party. The event, which is free to attend, will offer a full lineup of Inner Groove beers on tap including the following two new anniversary beer releases
Pink Born Unicorn: A special edition of the popular First Born Unicorn. In support of Pride Month, First Born Unicorn was given a little overhaul with a colorful new label design and a magical dusting of color. A sprinkle of Red Dragon Fruit powder makes Pink Unicorn a hazy pink Pale Ale with just a smidge of superfood power. An added bonus to an already delicious and crushable Pale Ale.
Psychotic Reaction – A brand new dessert sour conditioned on dark fruits of plum, blueberry, and blackberry with Madagascar vanilla and sweetened with lactose. A tart and sweet dessert sour bursting with fruit and vanilla that is reminiscent of Inner Groove’s blueberry sour, Sleepy Eyes (but on steroids).
Along with the beer, plenty of food options will be available with three local food trucks lined up for the day. Authentic Mexican food from La Catrina, wood-fired pizzas from Wood Stoked Oven, Mike’s Dirty Dogs serving gourmet hot dogs
Vinyl DJs will be rocking the street all day long with a variety of genres and seven different spinning DJs, including Pittsburgh DJ legend, DJ EZ Lou.
Vinyl Record Vendors include:
➔ Humanacat (Pittsburgh)
➔ Jerry “VINYLMAN” Weber (Swissvale) ➔ Mike Budai (Pittsburgh)
➔ Music Underground (State College)
➔ Pleasant Dreams Records (Polish Hill) ➔ Whistlin’ Willie Weber (Swissvale)
Take home the perfect Inner Groove Anniversary souvenir from one of the seven local vinyl store pop-ups that will be lined up on the street from 4:00 – 8:00pm. Appearance from another Pittsburgh Vinyl legend, Jerry “VINYLMAN” Weber.
