Iron Hill Brews Up Spooky Sips & Candy Pairings for a Boozy Halloween

Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant (Iron Hill), the most award-winning brewery east of the Mississippi, is ready for the spooky season and will offer prix-fixe beer and candy pairing at all locations starting October 27 and running through October 29 leading up to Halloween. The beer and candy flight is $10.50 and features four Iron Hill beers paired with iconic Halloween candy. Little monsters can get in on the sweet action with a milk and candy pairing for $3.
The appropriately named Witches Brew Flight includes:
  • Pig Iron Porter paired with a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup
o A scary good combination of chocolate and peanut butter. The full malt flavors of chocolate, toffee, and light hints of almond in this English-style Porter meld perfectly with the rich chocolate and creamy peanut butter inside a Reese’s Cup.
  • Pumpkin Ale paired with a Kit Kat
o  Iron Hill’s Pumpkin Ale is packed with fall flavors like caramel, toast, and vanilla. The cinnamon acts as a flavor hook, complementing the crispy cookie snap.
  • Philly Phavorite IPA paired with Starburst
o Take a sip of Philly Phavorite and you can really taste a burst of curiosity with its sweet citrus and pineapple aromatics and flavors.
  • Brambleberry Farmhouse Ale paired with Swedish Fish
o Pop a Swedish Fish in your mouth after a sip of Brambleberry and the tart citrus fruit and juicy raspberries are elevated by the sugary, berry sweetness.
King of the Hill members, Iron Hill’s popular loyalty program, receive a complimentary fifth pairing featuring Little Red Wagon, a strawberry rhubarb kettle sour, paired with Twizzlers. Additionally, on Halloween, King of the Hill members receive a special treat with double points on all food orders.
“Beer and candy pairings are the ultimate way to showcase how Iron Hill beer truly complements any type of food, including chocolate, peanut butter, and sweet or tart candy flavors,” said Mark Edelson, VP of Beer at Iron Hill Brewery. “The event was so popular last year we knew we had to bring it back!”
