Lancaster Craft Brewers Week Kicks Off September 24th

The Lancaster County Brewers Guild is gearing up for their second annual Lancaster Craft Brewers week, which will kick off on Saturday September 24 with the Lititz Craft Beer Fest and conclude on Saturday October 1.

The guild will be releasing its third Countywide collaboration beer, a Kolt (dark Kolsch) brewed at Raney Cellars, with a significant portion of the proceeds being donated to support Norm from Funk Brewing in his recovery.

Member breweries will be hosting a wide range of events, collaborations, and special beer tappings that week. Here are some of the events confirmed so far:

Wednesday September 28: Czech Beer Day at Pour Mans Brewing Company
– Czech national holiday to celebrate lager! $5 side pulls of their 3 Czech Lagers.

Wednesday September 28: Small batch staff collaborations tap takeover at Moo Duck
– At least 8 small batch beers influenced and assistant brewed by the brewery and taproom staff.

Friday September 31: Special Firkin Event at Our Town Brewery
– Tapping a special firkin of ‘Coffee & Pie’ – Pumpkin Latte Amber Ale conditioned on rum soaked oak chips.

Friday September 31: Local homebrewer spotlight release at Cartel
– Local homebrewers Mike Blose (Speedwell Homebrewing) and Matt Hoover (Labradoodle Brewing) are working with Cartel Brewing & Blending to develop an Amber Ale recipe combining all of our ideas and existing recipes for the style. Cartel will release and feature these 2 talented homebrewers Friday evening as well as add their beer to the tap list for the Octoberfest party at the beer garden.

Saturday October 1-2: Octoberfest at the Cartel Brewing & Blending and Rural City Beer Co Beer Garden
– Multiple Marzens/Festbiers, German Food, Live Music, Games, etc.
