As the 2022 Philly Invades Pittsburgh event quickly approaches, Levante Brewing (Philadelphia, PA) and Hitchhiker Brewing (Pittsburgh, PA) plan to “bring the fire” with their brand new collaboration, Cut Freeze Blend (Imperial Fruited Sour).
How does one bring the fire, you may ask? These two breweries began creating this recipe a few months back asking themselves the exact same thing. Inspired by the beer-based soft-serve made at Hitchhiker and the summertime heat rapidly approaching, these two set out to create an imperial fruited sour so decadently delicious it’s practically begging you to take a spoon to it.
Ripe summertime berries, sweet cherry, and the most delicate touch of lemon combine to create a dripping sorbet-like sour while hints of vanilla waffle cone create the perfect vessel to enjoy this 9.5 percenter. If only you could actually serve beer in a waffle cone…
