Stop if you’ve heard this before….. a Pennsylvania major league sports team has partnered with an out of state beer producer.
You know…..like how the Eagles put together this partnership in 2019 (one year before Goose Island skipped town).
We teamed up with @GooseIsland to launch a custom brew for Eagles fans! FLY-PA drafts will be available all season long at @LFFStadium and Goose Island Brewhouse.#FlyEaglesFly pic.twitter.com/qnsaxVfkaL

The latest out of state beer/ Pennsylvania sports partnership seems to come as Michigan based Founders Brewing is working in partnership with the Philadelphia 76ers. The information was first shared through a screenshot by Worst Beer Blog on twitter. This was then confirmed through a Facebook post by the Founders Pennsylvania Marketing Manager. You can see more about the partnership below.
No word has been confirmed yet through any official Founders HQ channels as of this writing.
The Eagles partnership at least made a bit of sense. ABinBev has a contract with the NFL. So it makes sense they would choose a subsidiary of theirs (Goose Island) to partner with the Eagles.
We need help understanding this latest partnership. Enough can be said about Founders Brewing’s reputation as of late. But a Michigan based brewery teaming with a Philadelphia based NBA team is a head scratcher. Then again our focus is on breweries in PA, so for us it’s not worth digging much more for the story.
Keep enjoying craft beer produced in Pennsylvania.
