McAllister Brewing Company (North Wales, PA) has created a brand new line of CBD seltzers, and the first to be released is Blood Orange.
This new series of seltzer is called “Alira CBD Seltzer” and will not contain alcohol. Instead, they will contain approximately 25mg of CBD, made from 100% American-grown hemp, and with no detectable THC. These seltzers are great by themselves, or as a mixer.
We spoke with Kate McAllister, co-owner and head of operations, and she had this to say about their new product:
“We are super excited to release the first flavor in our series of Alira CBD Seltzers, Blood Orange. For this, we stepped out of the beer box and created a product that both tastes great and has many health benefits. According to Harvard Health Publishing, the second most abundant chemical in cannabis is CBD, which doesn’t cause a high like THC. Your body naturally produces cannabinoids that are involved with many bodily functions, such as appetite, pain-sensation, mood, and sleep. The thinking behind CBD is that it may interact with these existing cannabinoids and increase their effectiveness.”
Currently, there are 16oz 4-packs of the Blood Orange Seltzer for sale out of the brewery. They will soon also have a Lime, Ginger, & Mint flavor, as well as a Blueberry Acai flavor available. You can purchase these at the Alira website at aliraseltzers.com.
