We already know that Pennsylvania ranks as number one with the most craft beer produced in the country. But how does that translate to dollars and cents?
The Brewers Association, the trade organization that tracks all data for the craft beer industry, recently released their annual economic impact report that explores this very topic. According to their numbers Pennsylvania craft beer comes in second with a contribution of 6.3 BILLION dollars in 2018!

You can read the full economic report here. Not only is the state tops for overall economic impact, PA also ranks as a leader when it comes to contribution per capita for 21+ adults, coming in at number four. The ONLY state on the report to find themselves in the top 5 on both lists.
With breweries in Pennsylvania opening at a rapid rate, these numbers should come as no surprise. The keystone state continues to flex its muscles in the craft beer world, and is a force to be respected.
