Join Stony Run Brew House (York, PA) as they release another NEW BREW on Thursday, March 21st! But this isn’t just any beer, the brewery will be dedicating their newest brew, the “BlicksBock”, in the honor of a local hero named Jack Blickenderfer! Jack served his country during our nations most pivotal conflict, WWII. Enlisting in the Army on his 18th birthday in 1943, he spent his High School graduation trudging through the swamps of Mississippi, instead of celebrating with his friends and family!
Jack trained at Camp Shelby and was one of the men who trained the famous Japanese/American 442nd Regiment. Once his training was complete, he shipped out from Boston Harbor and landed on the infamous Utah Beach. Jack spent his time in Europe as a scout in the 4th Infantry.
Jack saved many lives by transporting countless wounded from the front lines to medical care. It is with great privilege that Stony Run has named their newest beer, Blickenderfer Doppelbock (BlicksBock) in honor of Jack. The brewery will donate $.50 of every pint sold on release night to Jack’s charity of choice, the PA Wounded Warriors.
Join them on Thursday starting at 6:00 PM for this great cause. If you plan on attending, make sure to join the Facebook page below to stay up to date on the events latest updates.
And raise a glass to Jack!
