The Inaugural PA Hops For Hunger Has Raised Over $13,000

This past November, we teamed up with Feeding Pennsylvania and PA Eats for the inaugural “Hops For Hunger”, a month-long fundraising campaign to raise funds for Pennsylvanians facing hunger.

Craft breweries across the state (see the full list below) donated proceeds in a variety of ways: beer sales, hosting special events, offering roundup options on bills, and more. There were a few events that took place to raise additional money towards the total, The (Milk) Tube-A-Thon hosted by Human Robot Brewing, and the PGH Beer Ladies meetup event.

Together, they all combined to raise $13,821 throughout the month of November. This money was donated directly to benefit Feeding PA’s mission, and support the development of nutrition education resources created by PA Eats for Feeding PA’s network of food pantries.

“We are so grateful to all of the participating breweries for their incredible fundraising efforts in the inaugural Hops For Hunger campaign,” said Jane Clements, Chief Executive Officer of Feeding PA. “Their contribution will help our network of pantries provide educational resources to help minimize health risks associated with food insecurity and empower pantry clients to make nourishing meals with the food they receive.”
