Beer fans in three different states were surprised today when three Iron Hill Brewery locations closed abruptly. Their brewery and restaurants in Chestnut Hill, PA, Newark, DE, and Voorhees, NJ have been closed.
The brewery issued a press release with the details on the closings. Iron Hill still operates 16 other locations, which are currently open, and you can find them here.
You can read the press release below from Iron Hill Brewery:
After many years of proudly serving our local communities, Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant has made the difficult decision to close three locations (Newark, Chestnut Hill, Voorhees), as part of the company’s ongoing efforts to adapt to a changing business landscape while focusing on strengthening its long-term growth and success.
At Iron Hill, our team is deeply committed to creating memorable culinary experiences, award-winning beers and delivering exceptional hospitality,” said Mark Kirke, CEO of Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant. “We’re proud of the strong relationships we’ve built with our guests over the years and incredibly grateful for their loyalty. None of this would be possible without our dedicated teammates, who have made Iron Hill a place where great beer, great food, and genuine hospitality come together. We look forward to welcoming you to enjoy any of our other 16 open restaurants,” added Kirke.
Iron Hill emphasizes that this decision was not made lightly, and it remains deeply appreciative of the opportunity to be part of these local communities. Guests are encouraged to visit nearby Iron Hill locations, where they can continue to expect the same great food, fresh craft beer, and friendly service that have defined the Iron Hill experience for nearly three decades.
Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant is excited about the future. “While we are closing a few locations, this is truly part of a larger growth story—we are evolving, strengthening our brand, and positioning Iron Hill for long-term success,” stated Kirke.
