By now, you may be very familiar with Warwick Farm Brewing. The Bucks County brewery has become well known for its regular (quite popular) beer releases. (We heard this one was amazing). For those not as familiar you can read more about the business from a past profile we did on the brewery.
While the releases have been received by the market in an overwhelming fashion, the brewery has yet to be able to invite the masses inside for a pint of beer, sticking primarily to a regular to-go can release schedule. The primary reason for this has to do with the lack of indoor space. The current building that Warwick operates from is utilized primarily for brewing, manufacturing, and canning product.
However, as you may or may not have seen, the brewery has been feverishly working towards constructing a large taproom space adjacent to the current brewhouse to invite guests indoors for a pint. We recently spoke with brewery owner and head brewer Ryan Seiz to get a better understanding of the space currently being built. See our conversation on what folks can expect, below.
BIPA: What is the expected size of the space?
Ryan; “The whole size of the building is over 5,000 square feet. We will have 2000 square feet designated for our customers to enjoy beer, but the actual building is much bigger than that. The deck attached to the building is a total of 1500 square feet! Down in the field, we will have a large biergarten along with 2 acres of hops.
The tasting room occupancy is 80 people. We will be able to handle many more than that with our deck and property.”
BIPA: What theme are you going for?
Ryan: “We really want a clean and spacious area that has a modern barn feel. The tasting room will have open beams, a fireplace, and giant windows for natural light! We will encourage our customers to check out our hop field and see how hops are grown. Our biergarten is still in planning, but we are leaning towards a German style biergarten.”
BIPA: One bar, two, more?
Ryan: “We will have one long bar that is over 25 feet and our plans currently are to have 4 serving stations at that bar. We want to make sure our customer experience is quick, easy, and fun! We are currently working on a unique way of serving our customers. When we get closer to the opening I will share on our social media how it’s going to work!”
BIPA: Anything else of interest everyone should know about?
Ryan: “Inside the tasting room we will have a tractor above the bathrooms that will be decorated seasonally. We will have giant garage doors that we will open when its nice out!
We are excited to bring a unique beer drinking experience to PA! I personally cannot wait for you all to see the final product! Our 21-acre property and tasting room is going to be able to handle many people and we want to make sure our customer experience is nothing but the best. We plan to continue to do can-releases and rotate beers often, but we are starting to find our core-beers and brands.”
Construction is still ongoing for the rest of the space. However, as mentioned above the brewery continuously hosts can/ crowler releases regularly. So while you may not be able to take in the full drinking experience onsite, we do suggest you take a visit to the farm during any of those releases.
Can’t make it to one of their releases? Make sure to follow the brewery on Facebook and Instagram to continue to watch their growth.
