Yards Brewing Pays Up On Phillies World Series Bet To Saint Arnold Brewing

At the end of October, with the Philadelphia Phillies headed to their first World Series appearance in over a decade, Yards Brewing made a wager they would win.

Unfortunately, we all know the outcome of the World Series. Yards Brewing were good competitors and has now paid up on their bet.

The Philadelphia brewery took photos of their staff wearing Saint Arnold shirts and bars, drinking Saint Arnold beer, and holding Astros flags in their taproom.

As part of the friendly competition, both breweries donated $1 for each pint sold in their taproom of their chosen beers for the duration of the World Series. The real winners were the brewery’s charity partners Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Philadelphia Region and Kids’ Meals, Inc in Houston.

Yards managed to raise $2,185 through sales of Philly Standard in their taproom during game days. Even though Yards raised more money than Saint Arnold, they graciously decided to match the donation amount for their chosen organization!

Cheers to both breweries for a fun and friendly competition!
