Iron Hill’s New Owner Confirms 3 Locations Going To Three Notch’d, 7 Still Undecided

If you’ve been following the latest in Pennsylvania beer, you already know that Iron Hill Brewery closed all its locations and filed for bankruptcy at the end of September.

Just last week, we reported that 10 of the shuttered Iron Hill locations could be returning under new ownership. Now we are getting a clearer picture of what that future might look like.

Jeff Crivello, the former CEO of Famous Dave’s BBQ and current head of Ciao Hospitality, has officially received court approval to acquire 10 former Iron Hill properties. Those locations include:
Center City, West Chester, Huntingdon Valley, Newtown, Wilmington, Lancaster, Hershey, Rehoboth Beach, and two spots in South Carolina (Greenville and Columbia).

Because Crivello also has ties to the growing Three Notch’d Brewing Company (a Virginia-based brewery with six locations), we reached out to him for clarification on what Iron Hill locations (if any) would be rebranded to three Notch’d.

Here’s the statement he shared exclusively with us:

“…Three Notch’d Brewing is purchasing only three locations: Rehoboth, Greenville SC, and Columbia SC. We are determining the best path forward for the remaining 7.”

So what happens next?

Could these buildings remain with the Iron Hill name in some form? Will they be rebranded under a new concept? Or will they be sold off to an entirely different ownership group?

Those questions remain open for now, but we’ll continue to follow up with Crivello and provide updates as decisions are made for the remaining 7.
