Zeroday Brewing Company today announced the difficult decision to close its Zeroday Taproom on 3rd Street in Harrisburg. The Taproom’s final day of service will be December 28, 2025.
Zeroday Brewing Company will continue full brewing operations at its original production facility behind Midtown Cinema, and its two Outposts — at the Broad Street Market and inside Midtown Cinema — will remain open and continue serving the company’s lineup of craft beer.
“Closing the Taproom is not a decision we came to lightly,” said Theo Armstrong, Co-Founder of Zeroday. “For several years, we have worked to sustain a full-service restaurant in an increasingly difficult environment for small businesses in Harrisburg. We are deeply proud of the community we built on 3rd Street, and we are grateful to every staff member, partner, neighbor, and guest who made the Taproom special.”

Since opening in 2021, the Zeroday Taproom served as the company’s flagship restaurant, event space, and small-batch brewing site. Like many independent restaurants and breweries across the region, the Taproom faced rising operational costs, decreased foot traffic, and the prolonged effects of pandemic-era shifts, particularly in the Midtown/Downtown corridor, where reduced daytime workers and limited, costly parking continue to create challenges for small businesses.
“Our mission has always been rooted in hospitality, craft, and community,” said John Tierney, Co-Owner of Zeroday. “While the Taproom’s chapter is coming to an end, Zeroday Brewing Company is very much moving forward. We remain committed to our team, proud of the beer we make here in Harrisburg, and excited for what comes next.”
Zeroday’s brewing operations will continue uninterrupted, and the company will maintain its retail presence at the Broad Street Market and Midtown Cinema. The company will focus its efforts on production, distribution, community partnerships, and supporting the Outposts that continue to thrive.
“We began Zeroday with the idea that everyone deserves a moment to pause, refresh, and enjoy something crafted with care,” Armstrong added. “That mission hasn’t changed. We look forward to welcoming guests at our remaining locations and continuing to share the beer we love with Central Pennsylvania.”
