La Cabra Brewing opened in Berwyn in 2016, bringing craft beer and food to the Main Line. Now, as it celebrates 10 years, the brewery is preparing for a major expansion that will add more seating, a larger kitchen, and pizza to its menu.
Construction has already started on the former convenience store directly next door, which is connected to La Cabra’s existing space. The new area will feature an Italian-style pizza oven and a dedicated takeout counter. The brewery estimates the new space and kitchen to be open at the start of January.

The kitchen will grow from approximately 200 square feet to 1,000 square feet, giving the team more room to prepare food efficiently and expand the menu. Moving the kitchen next door will also free up space in the current restaurant for more seating.
“We’re excited to invest in our business and the community to be here for another 10+ years.” – Alex MacDonald, Co-owner & Managing Partner
La Cabra expanded beyond Berwyn in 2019 with Bodega in Bryn Mawr, which later became La Cabra Brewing Smokehouse. The original location remains central to the business as it prepares for its next chapter.

A Decade On The Main Line
The brewery will celebrate its 10th anniversary this Sunday, October 25th, with live music from Mark Teague and HotD starting at 1 p.m.
The celebration will feature its anniversary beer, 10th Rung, and a West Coast IPA brewed in collaboration with The Goat’s Beard. With construction underway, La Cabra is marking a decade on the Main Line while making room for what comes next!
