Back in August, we brought you the news that Aldus Brewing would be moving and expanding with a new location – offering a traditional, quintessential English pub with a new modern Pennsylvania twist.
The new location in downtown Hanover known as “Dolphin & Anchor Pub”, is located at 13 Center Square, Hanover, and is ready to host its grand opening on February 2nd.
The new 5,000 sq/ft building can fit around 100 people and will feature more beer taps, a variety of cocktail options, a game room, a dining area, an outside patio, and a 500+ square foot multipurpose room great for watch parties, live music, & special events. And what should have guests most excited will be the addition of a full food menu.
With the new name, Dolphin & Anchor Pub, Aldus Brewing is paying homage to their namesake Aldus Manutius. The Dolphin and Anchor mark represent his motto “Make Haste Slowly”, meaning, to do things in a deliberate but methodical manner to reduce mistakes. An approach that they strive to live by in their brewing processes as well as their relationship with the community.
Once the original Aldus location closes, it will become their full-time beer production facility.
