Artifact Brewing Set To Expand With New Taproom And Brewery Opening In Doylestown

You can add Artifact Brewing to the growing list of breweries in PA with expansion plans. The Hatboro, PA based brewery has been working towards opening a second location in Doylestown, PA. Not only will the new space offer an additional taproom for the brewing company, but Artifact will also shift primary brewing operations to the location with the installation of a 7 barrel brewhouse.

We recently spoke with brewery owner Ryan McKinney about the future space. “We are about 70% complete with our build out of the Doylestown location. It will be a second location where we will be brewing on a 7 bbl system for both Doylestown and Hatboro” McKinney said about the space.

Some brewing will continue at the main facility in Hatboro, but on a smaller scale and used more as a pilot brew system, allowing the brewing team to have a bit more fun with their creativity. In addition to expanding on creativity, the new space will also allow the brewery to expand their mixed culture barrel program.

The new location will feature a state of the art taproom with 16 taps plus hand pump beer. “We are striving for a rustic, heritage, agricultural feel, that matches the history of Doylestown, including accents of local Mercer tile. We won’t be serving food as Doylestown is flush with amazing restaurants and we’ll always welcome outside food. We do plan on having higher end snacks and prepackaged goods to match our offerings.” McKinney said.

McKinney went on to share that they “plan on having an expansive selection of PA wines and spirits and will feature different weekly cocktails complimented with tinctures and goodies from our local friends at Blue Stem Botanical.”

Initially the Doylestown location will be open on a limited basis, but the goal is for them to be open Wednesday through Sunday once they are fully up and running.

As of this writing the new location is scheduled to open in early 2024. For now, be sure to keep up with all of Artifact’s latest news by following them on Facebook and Instagram. And stop by their brewery at 2 South York Road in Hatboro to experience their offerings for yourself.
