Meyers Brewing Company continues to grow, with a major expansion underway at its New Jersey location and another Pennsylvania location in the works. We spoke with owner Mike Meyers to get the details on locations in both states.
The brewery opened its original Philadelphia location at 436 East Girard Avenue in 2021 before expanding to the Jersey Shore in 2024.
New Jersey Expansion
Meyers Lighthouse Brewing in Ocean View, New Jersey, opened in 2024 and combines a brewery and taproom with an 18-hole mini golf course.
Now, Meyers is expanding the operation with a new building that will add approximately 3,200 square feet. The space will include roughly 1,600 square feet for brewing and another 1,600 square feet that can be used for private events.
The brewery is also adding brewing equipment and tanks, while incorporating its existing brewing operation into the expanded facility. The additional capacity will allow Meyers to significantly increase production in New Jersey, to roughly double its current output by next summer.
The expanded event space will allow for larger private events and rentals while the front taproom remains open to the public.
Pennsylvania Plans
Back in Pennsylvania, Meyers has expanded beyond its original Fishtown brewery through its partnership with Jackson St. Steaks in Media. The location serves Meyers beer alongside its cheesesteaks, wings, cheesesteak egg rolls, and other food.
Meyers is also working toward another Philadelphia location. The brewery is currently in the licensing process and is keeping the address under wraps until it secures the necessary approvals.
The planned location will include another brewing system and event space, with Meyers hoping to open later this year.
That would expand Meyers’ footprint across Pennsylvania and New Jersey, from its original Fishtown brewery to its Shore operation and new projects still taking shape.
Stay tuned, as we will be sure to update this story when the location details are revealed.
