Brewtus Brewing Company (Sharon, PA) Has Closed

We always start these articles the same way, but it never gets easier. While we love promoting Pennsylvania Craft Beer, we know there is a side to it that isn’t as fun. And it is sharing the news that a brewery is closing it’s doors.

Which is why we are sad to share that Brewtus Brewing Company (Sharon, PA) has closed per this announcement on their website.

The above reads:

“It’s with a sad and heavy heart to announce that Brewtus is permanently closed. An unexpected decision had to be made this morning and we did not expect this at all. We deeply apologize for any inconvenience this may or has caused. On behalf of the staff we can’t thank you all enough for your love and support over the last three years. We hope to see you in the near future!”

Before we say goodbye to Brewtus Brewing, we share their story.

From their website:

“In 2012 the name Brewtus Brewers was born. In 2013 we found and purchased our building at 23 Chestnut St in Sharon, PA. Jason, his fiancé Shelby, John and his wife Patty, set out on what would be a nearly 2 year journey in opening our brewpub. After a metric ton of work and construction put into the building, acquiring a 7 barrel brew system, hard marketing, and persistence the brewpub is now open.”

We raise a glass to the folks at Brewtus Brewing. We look forward to seeing all the stories of the patrons that called this place home.
