Cellar Works To Expand With Taproom In Verona; Opening September 2022

Join us in congratulating Cellar Works Brewing which plans to open a taproom in Verona in September of this year. We recently spoke with the Butler County brewery about the future space which will be located at 723 Allegheny River Boulevard.

Locals may remember the building as the former home of Stonewall Cider House. We spoke with brewery co-owner Timothy Bauer who shared how the location came about. As Bauer shared with us, this location kind of just fell in their lap. “We weren’t looking for this location. Stonewall was moving out, and a former employee of ours who lived nearby suggested that we look into it.” And the rest, as they say, is history.

The 300-square-foot taproom will serve small prepackaged food while offering eight draft taps of beer cider and mead. With the eventual plan to add wine to the menu as well. Bauer confirmed that any releases being held at their main location in Sarver, will also be available at the taproom in Verona.

Getting even closer access to customers in the Pittsburgh Market is a big reason for this expansion. Our baked whip and smoothie seltzers have been big sellers for us and we are excited to have the city enjoy them even more” Bauer confirmed about the move. (The Baked Whip series is a fan favorite across PA).  Outdoor sidewalk café seating will allow the brewery to offer even more space for patrons to enjoy their locally made offerings.

The new taproom will be open Wednesday through Sunday with similar hours to the main facility (with the addition of being open on Sundays). The space will offer cans and growlers to go. “We expect to be open sometime in September,” Bauer said about the opening timeframe.
