Levante Brewing Company, one of Chester County Pennsylvania’s popular craft breweries today announced a craft beer collaboration and partnership with global esport brand Team Secret. Both companies seek to embody the international gaming and craft brewing cultures in a unique packaged beer product to be enjoyed by all.
In the universal gaming lexicon, “AFK” stands for “Away from Keyboard”. The beer personifies gaming culture – approachably delightful for the casual fan, but with the appropriate depth of flavor for the serious craft beer enthusiast. This unfiltered IPA projects a goldenrod-colored hue with a refreshing, light bitter taste. With its unique combination of Mosaic and Idaho-7 hops, AFK forms a pillowy-soft haze from oats and wheat malt that will bring your taste buds to life.
The first batch of AFK made its debut at Valve Entertainment’s, International Dota 2 Championship (TI 2019) in Shanghai China during late August. Sponsors, influencers, media, and prominent esport figures met at an exclusive Team Secret release party where AFK was unveiled.
Not only was AFK well-received in Shanghai, but Team Secret’s Dota 2 squad earned prize winnings of over $2 million USD at TI 2019.
