East End Businesses Continue Successful, Collaborative “Survival Kit” Subscription

Due to the resounding success of the First East Ender’s Survival Kits, this creative collaborative of local businesses has decided to keep offering this subscription box running through the remainder of the year! East End Brewing, Prohibition Pastries, Commonplace Coffee , and Barmy Soda Co. — announced today the launch of “Survival Kits” second round. This expanded format will include three separate three-week subscription blocks that will continue to feature the delicious bread and pastries, creative brews, aromatic beans, fizzy beverages, and introduce some new delectable bites from Chef Kate Romane of Black Radish.

These businesses want to heartily thank Kelly’s Bar & Lounge for their contribution to the first 6 weeks and hope that all our customers will continue to support them, and their scrumptious Mac & Cheese going forward!

“Survival Kits” are the innovative solution of locally-made goods designed to help any household survive their week. At the same time, these subscriptions provide a vital revenue stream to local businesses when they need it most.

“The model of weekly box subscription – Survival Kits filled with baked goods, craft beer, freshly roasted coffee beans, soda pop, and take-and-bake dinners have gotten rave reviews from our current subscribers… “We listened to the feedback, shortened the subscription blocks to 3 weeks, and are hoping for an even bigger response this time around!” says Eliza Bowman of Prohibition Pastries.

Customers are invited to purchase in three-week blocks, with each week including something from each of the five participating businesses. The selections from each producer will vary from week to week, based on seasonality and demand. If you choose to purchase all three of the three-week blocks at once (9 boxes total) these businesses will reward you with a 10th box for free.
