GearHouse Brewing Company in Chambersburg is paying tribute to service, sacrifice, and community with the release of Coffey Avenue Stout, just in time for Veteran’s Day.
This beer comes with deep meaning for the brewery. As a veteran-owned business, GearHouse is always connected to the veteran community. When a local friend and supporter approached them about creating a beer to honor that community, they didn’t hesitate to say yes. Together, they brewed a beer that represents American pride, teamwork, and gratitude.

Coffey Avenue Stout takes its name from Brigadier General John W. Coffey, the first commander of the local depot and a man whose leadership helped shape the area’s longstanding tradition of serving and supporting America’s warfighters. The name is a nod not just to history, but to the people of Chambersburg who continue that mission today.
Brewed in collaboration with friends and supporters of the community’s organic industrial base, Coffey Avenue Stout stands as a toast to everyone who contributes to keeping America strong, both in and out of uniform.
A portion of proceeds from every sale will go toward a local veteran-support organization that helps fund morale-boosting events and programs for veterans and the Chambersburg community that stands behind them.
Stop by GearHouse Brewing Company to raise a glass to our heroes, our community, and the enduring American spirit.
