Introducing #RaiseYourGlass; Two Charitable Initiatives From Workhorse Brewing

In these unique and challenging times, Workhorse Brewing (King of Prussia, PA) has been incredibly fortunate to receive tremendous support from their community, support that has allowed them to look past their immediate survival and think critically about how they can offer reciprocity. It’s with that in mind that we are pleased to share with you their #Raiseyourglass charitable initiative. Which officially launches Tuesday, April 28th, and benefits the following trio of local organizations helping those in need:

The Upper Merion Township Foundation, providing ongoing support to vulnerable Upper Merion residents in need of acute assistance, specifically at-risk youth, persons with disabilities and/or chronic diseases including veterans and seniors
Laurel House, the only comprehensive Domestic Violence Agency in Montgomery County. Dedicated to the vision of ending domestic violence in each life, home and community
The MONTCO Anti-Hunger Network (MAHN), providing food and resources that help community pantries feed more than 15,000 households per year

Along with the announcement the brewery is also introducing a new beer called Workforce IPA; proceeds from which support the restaurant industry decimated by the pandemic.

At its core, entrepreneurship is about problem-solving. Suffice to say, there are no shortages of problems to solve in the current landscape and while we won’t pretend to have all the answers, we are uplifted and inspired by the work ethic and resolve in our community, and remain bullish that together, we will emerge on the other side: stronger, more united and fully aware of what really matters.” – Dan Hershberg, Co-Founder, Chief brand officer

$1 from every 4-pack sold of Workforce IPA will go directly to the Restaurant Workers’ Community Foundation, an organization supporting individual workers and non-profits serving restaurant workers during the crisis. In addition to the $1 donation from each 4-pack sold, Workhorse has committed a dollar for dollar match. This program will begin Monday, May 4th, and run until they can once again open their Taproom doors to the community.

“Workforce IPA” uses the same grain base as their best-selling New England but they’ve switched up the dry-hop to feature hops loaded with citrus and stone fruit character. Pineapple and pear give way to a smooth IPA clocking in at 6.7% ABV.

The bricks and sketch-like nature of the initial label are designed to indicate the rebuild is very much a work in progress; as Workhorse re-brews future editions of the beer, they will both add layers of bricks and refine the label design, making it closer to “whole”.
