Levante Brewing Wins Big In Europe Beer Competition

Levante Brewing Company has won three Grand Gold Medals at the Frankfurt International Beer Trophy. This is more than any other American brewery that competed.

The competition takes place each year in the historical hall of the famous Gesellschaftshaus Palmengarten, which dates back to 1870, and is located in the heart of Frankfurt-on-the-Main. This year over 700 entries were evaluated from 52 countries.

Levante is well known for brewing hazy New England style IPAs, fruited sours, and barrel-aged offerings, however, they felt it necessary to provide more classic beer styles for a European setting. The intent was for Levante to gain feedback from an astute international panel of judges to continue to improve quality and elevate their craft at home. Little did they know, the feedback they would receive would come in the form of three Grand Gold medals.

Levante was awarded the esteemed Grand Gold for:

• Birra Di Levante in the category of Lager – Bohemian-Style Pilsner
• Wayward Waves for the category: Ale – American IPA
• Cascadian Cryptid for the category: Lager – Schwarzbier

“For the first time ever we decided to try something new and enter three beers into a judged beer competition, but not just any beer competition – the 2021 Frankfurt International Trophy, which is a massive international crucible judged by a panel of experts and amateur beer reviewers alike.” said Tim Floros, President, and CEO of Levante Brewing Company.

Tim adds, “We were both floored and honored to have been awarded three Grand Gold International Trophies – more than any other American brewery.”

Congratulations to the Levante Team for their hard work and dedication to elevating the craft beer experience! Make sure to follow them for each unique release, and see how they constantly push the boundaries.
