Lost Planet Brewing Quietly Opens To The Public In Royersford PA

In January of this year, we had originally profiled Lost Planet Brewing, which was working towards opening in Royersford, PA in 2022. You can read the whole piece here. The future 10 barrel brewery was working hard towards opening in Royersford’s first firehouse, Humane Fire Engine House No.1, at 301 Walnut Street.

Like many other breweries, they worked around the clock to bring their dream to reality. And the community around them was waiting with excitement for the day they finally opened their doors.

However, around late July the social media updates stopped. The status of their opening was met with confusion from the public as no real updates were provided.

And then this past weekend the brewery finally shared an update online. However, the update was not of an opening, but rather from a business that appears to have been opened for quite some time and is working out staffing issues. You can see the post below.

The posts on both Facebook and Instagram were primarily met with confusion from customers who were unaware of the brewery’s status. Many comments read the same; consumers who were provided no tangible updates and trying to get an understanding of the operating status of the brewery.

To the brewery’s credit, the reason for the silence was not an effort to keep customers in the dark, rather they wanted to slowly open their doors to provide a positive experience for customers as they embark on their new small business journey. In one Facebook reply the brewery commented the following:

We kept it low key as we know the love from Royersford would have been overwhelming (and we THANK YOU) Our staff is our family and we care about them. We kept it low key for our staff to feel comfortable and get used to the new environment. Thanks for everyone’s good wishes! See you Sunday!”

For those who would like to learn more about Montgomery Counties’ latest craft brewery, our profile of the business can be found here. While there may have been confusion around the opening of the business, there is no doubt that they are a must visit for the area.

As of this writing, the brewery’s Google listing suggests they are open Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday. However listings on Google are not always completely accurate, so it is best to follow the brewery on social media (Facebook and Instagram) on future updates as they are made available.
