Necromancer Brewing To Host ‘Brave Noise’ Release Party October 8th In Pittsburgh

As you may have read, in August of this year a (now international) beer collaboration was announced in the support of safe spaces and inclusive environments within the craft beer industry.

Brave Noise‘ (4.5% PAle Ale) was the result of “an industry reckoning that started when Brienne Allen, production manager at Notch Brewing (Salem, Massachusetts) at the time, asked the following question on her Instagram story: “Have you ever experienced sexism in the beer industry?”. After Allen shared thousands of responses, a movement was born and this beer is a direct result of it.

In order to participate breweries agreed to not just only brew the beer in collaboration with the efforts, but also publish a code of conduct as well as a commitment to long-term work towards inclusive and safe environments.

And now one of the first releases of this beer is taking place in Pennsylvania. Pittsburgh-based Necromancer Brewing will host the release of this beer on Friday, October 8th from 5:00 – 10:00 PM at their brewery on Babcock Boulevard.

The brewery will celebrate the release in their newly opened brew house event space with DJ Formosa spinning the beats and Progression Bistro slinging food. A portion of all proceeds will be going to the Pittsburgh Brewery and Diversity Council.

Make sure to follow the brewery on Facebook and Instagram to keep up with all details on the release party.
