After Nearly Four Years In Business Newfangled Brew Works Closes; Noting PA Covid Response

Newfangled Brew Works will be closing its doors permanently, after almost 4 years in business. The brewery’s last day will be Sunday, August 14th, 2022.

The brewery originally opened in November of 2018 in a brand new, 12,000 square foot building on Union Station Blvd, and has been known for a variety of beer styles. In 2019, the brewery would host the very first Pennsylvania military veteran beer collaboration.

If you are seeing this post before their close of business on August 14th, you can stop by their taproom and purchase their beer one last time.

We spoke with co-owner and head brewer Adam Cole who cited issues stemming from Covid as the main reason for closing:

“The PA COVID response greatly damaged the business. Between the decreased business and ever-increasing costs to operate, we’re closing.”

The brewery confirmed on social media their plans to close operations by August 14th.
