PA Pride is back!
In a continued effort to link the Pennsylvania craft beer community with local agriculture, we are excited to announce that we have teamed with breweries throughout the Commonwealth on the release of the newest installment in the ongoing PA Pride series.
The previous releases included the following:
The original “PA Pride” Hazy Pale Ale, November 2020: The inaugural PA Pride brew was named after the love and pride we all share for the Keystone State. Showcasing 2-row barley and organic spelt grown right here in the Commonwealth, it was released statewide and inspired a following.
“PA Pride 2.0” Pilsner, February 2021: Inspired by Bohemian-style Pilsner, the second iteration was brewed with Pennsylvania grown and traditionally floor germinated 2-row barley and hard red wheat. A hops profile defined solely by noble Saaz resulted in a clean, crisp lager.
“PA Pride 3.0″ Kölsch, May 2021: Borrowing methods from both top-fermented ales and cold-fermented lagers, this Kölsch-style ale featured Pilsner malt made from Violetta barley plus pale spelt malt, both cultivated in PA. Light and highly quaffable, it was a perfect fit for those balmy spring days.
Now we look forward to the autumn release of “PA Pride 4.0” India Pale Ale. The “hazy” IPA will feature Keystone Pale Ale barley malt, Rolled Oats, and Pale Rye Malt from all Pennsylvania grains. Whirlpool and double dry-hopped with El Dorado & Mosaic, this hazy style IPA will lean more tropical than its predecessors, a dose of brightness in the season of uncertainty.
PA Pride 4.0 will be released on November 19. Details on where customers can find the new brew will follow.
