Dogfish Head is bringing back one of its most-requested beers. Midas Touch, the Delaware brewery’s unique beer, wine, and mead hybrid, returned to taps and shelves beginning October 16.
Brewed at 9% ABV, Midas Touch combines barley, honey, white Muscat grapes, and saffron. The recipe was inspired by chemical evidence found in drinking vessels discovered in the tomb of King Midas, dating back more than 2,700 years.

First released in 1999, Midas Touch helped launch Dogfish Head’s Ancient Ales series, which recreates historic beverages using archaeological research and traditional ingredients.
The beer is now rolling out to select markets nationwide. Dogfish Head’s Delaware locations are offering it on draft and in 12-ounce cans in six-packs.
