Rumor: Bald Birds To Take Over Workhorse Brewing?

According to a social media post, it would appear that Workhorse Brewing is having a liquidation sale on all retail items in anticipation of “exciting changes”. In the post below you can see how they have discounted their merchandise to 40% off while also encouraging customers to “finish off the remaining Workhorse beer”

Which, of course, has many people questioning what the changes could mean. A quick search of the licensing for the address of Workhorse shows three licenses. Two which belong to Workhorse, and one pending license for Bald Birds. The status of pending could very well point to a future takeover by Bald Birds.

This all is speculation, but it would make sense for the Bald Birds brand. For those not aware they recently entered a partnership with Yards, Heavy Seas, and Two Roads in a joint contract brewing venture. The announcement from Two Roads mentioned the venture came together “designed to meet increasing demand for scalable, flexible, and quality-focused contract manufacturing, B3 serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic brands including beer, RTD (ready to drink), seltzer, soda, canned cocktails and other emerging beverages categories.” A move like this would allow them a large enough brewing facility to support this increased demand, as Workhorse boasts a larger than average brewhouse as compared to most area breweries.
