If you’ve been confused over the status of the SlyFox Highline facility in Pittsburgh, you aren’t the only one. The confusion started when the TribLIVE posted an article which lead many to believe the brewing location had closed operations. The piece shared how the SlyFox facility was listed for sale which included not only the building but all of the equipment as well.
While the article did not explicitly list the facility as closed, the assumption from reading it was that SlyFox shut the doors on the facility. So much so that the SlyFox Highline (in a now deleted post) shared an update on the location which assured customers they were still open. The brewery confirmed the news by responding to one comment on the post saying how they were open but exploring a potential buyer for the location (which is listed for sale publicly here). You can see a screenshot of the post below.
As you can see in the image above the brewery makes a fair amount of claims about the status of the facility. Specifically confirming that when asked if they are closed or closing that “Yinz must be thinking of somebody else” and that they “are OPEN and pouring your favorite draft beers” and “the lights are on.”
Now, less than a week later, SlyFox has deleted the post above and changed it’s statement by announcing the facility has shut down, closing a confusing chapter on the subject. You can see the full post on the announcement below.

As of this writing SlyFox still remains present in Pittsburgh with their taphouse on Liberty Avenue. Continue to check back as more information is made available.
