Pennsylvania craft beer is expanding, and not in the traditional way you might think. Standard by GearHouse Brewing is a new venture by the established GearHouse Brewing Co. slated to open soon in Chambersburg, PA.
The concept behind Standard will be a full-service retail bakery and café. “It will be a full service retail and wholesale bakery (everything from bread, rolls, savory baked goods, and sweets). Also a café with drinks & sandwiches using fresh and local ingredients that are seasonal. Chef Geoff Cooper will be leading the kitchen” LaVan Gray, President of GearHouse Brewing, said about the space as reported by LocalNews1.
The bakery and café will be situated at 370 Philadelphia Avenue, revitalizing a historic building at the entrance to downtown Chambersburg.
