If you read our most recent profile on TrAils to Ales Brewing, you saw news of the brewery moving brewhouse operations a few blocks down the road. You can read the full profile here.
Recently we toured the space with co-owner Dave Ballard and General Manager Mark Shreffler to learn a bit more about what locals can expect. The new space is a close to 4,000 square feet former garage located at 422 12th Street in Franklin, PA. Which is a less than 5-minute walk from the main TrAils To Ales location.
As mentioned above, the brewery will be moving all of its brew operations to this new space. Which will allow them not only more room for brewing, but to introduce new equipment as well.
A majority of dining will continue to take place at the original location, however, this anticipated new brewhouse will be used as an area for small-batch releases as well as offer a beer wall for patrons to continue to enjoy the handmade beer offerings. For those not familiar, beer walls are just how they sound. A wall of beer taps where guests are free to pour their own pints through the use of RFID tags. All other food and drink menu will continue to be ordered from the primary location.
This space also comes equipped with a large outdoor parking lot, which the brewery plans to convert into a fenced-in outdoor venue to be used for live music as well as operating an outdoor bar on the weekends.
We highly recommend a visit to their brewery on Liberty Street for yourself. But if you cannot immediately get there, make sure to keep up with their growth by following them on social media at Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
