Trauger Brewing is the latest gypsy brewery in PA, and they are focused on producing small-batch German-style beers.
This brewery is the creation of Jeremy Myers, formerly of Neshaminy Creek Brewing. Jeremy is currently splitting his time between the US and abroad at a German-based brewery named Bachs.
As Trauger Brewing gets started, Jeremy will brew at different larger breweries that have the space needed to produce his creations. As of this writing, he is currently producing his beer at Broken Goblet out of Bucks County. His plan is to have his beers available for draft pours at the taproom of the brewery is produced in with the plan to also offer in either cans or bottles.

Jeremy will be utilizing decoction mashing (a 3 step mash) to produce his beer. A process that involves removing a part of the mash, boiling it, and then returning back to the main mash, which is held at a constant temperature.
You can see Trauger’s commitment to brewing these styles from their website:
“Inspired by the classic styles and brewing techniques of Germany, Trauger Brewing strives to brew authentic and true to style Lagers and Ales in accordance to the German Purity Law, the Reinheitsgebot.
Utilizing only imported German malt and hops, we adhere to traditional production methods like step and decoction mashing, natural carbonation through spunding and krausening, and extended lagering to produce beers of distinction and quality.”
The end goal for Trauger Brewing is to have a taproom for many people to enjoy these German-style beers on tap, which may happen sooner than you think!
For now, make sure you visit the Trauger Brewing website and follow them on Instagram to keep an eye out for when these beers are on tap and where.
