Truth Beer Company is celebrating its one-year anniversary on Saturday, September 2nd. The Akron, PA-based brewery first opened last September at 401 South 7th Street.
Initially opening without a taproom, the brewery now has one, serving pints and snacks with indoor and outdoor seating for beer fans since shortly after they opened. Co-owners Dave Timblin and Ryan White have said the brewery was named after a quote from Henry David Thoreau: “Rather than love, than money, than fame, give me truth.”
They opened in a 2,600 sq/ft building that was most recently a car detail shop. Their brewery is on one side, and the taproom occupies the other side.
Anniversary Details
Truth Beer will be open from 1-9PM on Sept 2nd, with live music from 6-8PM. They will also have 3 brand-new beers on tap!
• Pumpkin Harvest Haze – 8.4% pumpkin ale
• Espresso Pumpkin Harvest Haze – 8.4%
• Pumpkin Double NEIPA – 9% dry hopped with Cascade and El Dorado
Truth Beer Company is open Thursday’s 5-8pm, Friday’s 5-9pm, and Saturday’s 1-9pm for draft pours in its taproom, they also fill crowlers, and growler fills, and offer cans to go as well. You can find their current tap list here.
