Back in February, we brought you the news that Truth Brewing Company would be opening in Lancaster County. The brewery will officially opens its doors on Saturday, September 3rd.

The new brewery will open at 401 South 7th Street in Akron, PA.

We learned from co-owners Dave Timblin and Ryan White that the brewery was named after a quote from Henry David Thoreau: “Rather than love, than money, than fame, give me truth.”

They are opening in a 2,600 sq/ft building that was most recently a car detail shop. Their brewery will be on one side, and a to-go spot on the other side.

Truth Brewing won’t have a taproom in this space, but will look to expand with a taproom after some time. They will sell to-go onsite, and also distribute to bars/restaurants in the area.

To open on Saturday, Truth Brewing will have ready to go crowlers, growler fills, some cans, and samplers for guests.
