Back in September, we first reported that Whitehorse Brewing Company (located in Berlin, PA) brewed a beer called “With You Always”, a 5.1% ABV coffee milk stout, with the intention to donate all proceeds.
Well the donations have been tallied, and along with neighboring breweries (see below), customers and donors, they were able to donate a total of $19,039 to the Magee Women’s Research Institute & Foundation.
The foundation recently traveled to Whitehorse Brewery to accept the donation check in person. Dr. Buckanovich, the Director of the Ovarian Cancer Center of Excellence, has been very instrumental in the ovarian cancer research at Magee. He explained to the group that donations like this are seeds that grow into larger grants.
The beer was on tap at Whitehorse’s location as well as the following locations who supported the cause and donated 100% of the proceeds:

• Quinn Brewing Company
• All Saints Brewing Company
• Noble Stein Brewing Company
• Coal Country Brewing Company
• Fury Brewing Company
‘With You Always’ was brewed in honor of everyone that has been lost, and is meant to be a remembrance of our loved ones. This beer was inspired by head brewer Mike Fahy’s late wife, Darcel, who asked him to make this as a homebrew a few months before she passed, but never getting the chance to.
This traditional stout also draws its name from the Killswitch Engage song “Always” which tells the story of losing a loved one and reliving the memories of them to keep their spirit alive.
Whitehorse is looking forward to making this an annual event and they hope to grow the size of the donation every year.
