412 Brewery | North Side
412 Brewery just opened in the North Side in March and is gaining steam. They have a large patio out back that can accommodate 40 people.
Cinderlands Beer Co. – Warehouse | Strip District
Cinderlands Beer Co opened their new space the “Warehouse” in May, in the old spaghetti warehouse. The 17,000 sq ft 300 seat space offers an amazing 2nd story outdoor terrace that overlooks the neighborhood. With 16 taps and a scratch kitchen serving up lots of tasty food, there is something for everyone.
Penn Brewery | Troy Hill
A must visit brewery in Pittsburgh (they’ve been brewing craft beer since 1986), you’ll feel like you’re in a real German Biergarten with beers and food to complement. Penn beers have won a total of 20 Great American Beer Festival and World Beer Cup medals, so grab a few and relax!
The Church Brew Works | Lawrenceville
Another staple in the Pittsburgh brewery community, The Church Brew Works is a brewery in a former church last used in the late 1990’s. They offer a full menu of house brewed beers, a menu of great American cuisine, and they have a beergarden out back to accommodate many people.
Strange Roots Experimental Ales | Millvale & Gibsonia
Strange Roots (formerly Draai Laag) has two locations now, each with an ourdoor beer garden. Their first location in Millvale is right at the intersection of E Ohio St and Meade St and offers a great space to enjoy their brews outside. The second location in Gibsonia has a huge outdoor area….known as the “funk yard” that is ready for fun! They also get food trucks at both locations so you’ll never go hungry.
Grist House | Millvale
Grist House brewing is known for their large outdoor patio space leading up to the indoor taproom. Summer or winter (with bonfires of course), you can enjoy this space with your dog and eat from the many food trucks they schedule.
Hitchhiker Brewing | Mt. Lebanon & Sharpsburg
Hitchhiker Brewing is know for great beer, and you can enjoy it at both of their locations outside! The Mt. Lebanon location has an outdoor space both out front and out back of their taproom, and their Sharpsburg brewery/taproom has a brand new patio out back which can seat an additional 70 people.
East End Brewing Company | Larimer
Probably one of the newest spaces on the list… East End Brewing recently introduced a large outdoor space right in front of their taproom. In addition to the 15 fresh taps, they recently opened a full service kitchen on site, which is now open 6 days a week!
Spoonwood Brewing Company | Bethel Park
Spoonwood Brewing Co has two large garage doors at the back of the taproom that open up to a huge outdoor patio with space for an additional 40+ people. With 12+ beers on at any time and a delicious food menu, you can’t go wrong with a visit here.
Enix Brewing Co | Homestead
In addition to being a craft brewery, a full restaurant, an 8 lane bowling alley, and a music/event venue, Enix has an outdoor patio with seating for you to enjoy! Have you been here yet?
Southern Tier Brewing | North Shore
Enjoy this large outdoor beer garden day or night, and sip on 30 taps of Southern Tier and Victory Brewing beers! They have a full kitchen, and they also brew a lot of the beers onsite, with some local-only beers specific to this location.
Brew Gentlemen | Braddock
The outdoor space in the courtyard next to Brew Gentleman’s brewery was converted as a summer pop-up called “BG Open Air”. In addition to this new space now being available, BG will be producing and canning their beer at an increased capacity, by renovating the warehouse behind the brewery.
Roundabout Brewery | Chateau
Roundabout’s pop-up beer garden is back! Located on the North Side portion of the Three Rivers Heritage Trail at the N. Franklin Street trail parking area, it’s open on the weekends and depends on the weather, since they only have outdoor seating at this time. Here you can enjoy the beautiful view of the Ohio River. There are four rotating Roundabout Brewery taps at the garden.
