They say when one door closes another one opens, right? As you may have read recently the restaurant ‘Cure’ in Lawrenville is set to close. However fear not, because chef Justin Severino is packing up his knives and heading to a staple in the Pittsburgh community. As he teams with the folks at East End Brewing to open a beer friendly, counter service kitchen in their brewery in Larimer!
Open for dinner and happy hour, seven days a week, this kitchen will offer many items to compliment the beer that East End has become famous for in Pittsburgh. The kitchen will be counter service, in the same fashion that the beer is served at this location.
We recently spoke and toured the new area with Scott Smith, owner of East End, to learn more about this venture. “We’re all super excited about this partnership. To be able to serve our beer, along side food from a nationally recognized chef who is at the absolute top of his game, is a bit of a dream come true for us at East End Brewing” Smith said.
The kitchen is still under construction, but as you’ll see below is well on it’s way to being open soon, with a target completion date in the Spring.

The location will offer seating for 100 with a very beer friendly menu which is being hand crafted by Chef Severino as we speak.
However, as we learned, that is not all that is taking place at the brewery. The plans are to also offer an outdoor cooking setup which will be accompanied by more outdoor events. Having been named Food & Wine’s “The People’s Best New Chef Mid-Atlantic” in 2014 and 2015, the brewing company is partnering with a chef that will be able to offer a menu that can stand toe to toe with a business reputation the likes of East End.
Fear not craft beer fans, the brewery is still 100% operational during construction. You can stop in during any time of the day and still enjoy your favorite East End brew.
