Congratulations to 633 Brewing who opens their doors for the first time this weekend. The brewery officially opens at 4:00 PM on Saturday, February 27th. The new space is located at 118 Walnut Street in Waynesboro.
633 is spearheaded by owners/operators Kevin Barrick and Heather Weeks. Kevin will also brew all beer on their 3 bbl brewhouse. “We are focusing on 4 beers and keeping them simple. We’ll have a lightly hopped and carbonated American Ale, a brown ale, coffee stout made with a Costa Rican cold brew from a local coffee shop, and a hazy IPA” Kevin confirmed.
Along with the beer offerings, 633 also plans to offer wine from Adams County winery and distilled products from Lake House Distillery, another local Waynesboro producer. Hot dogs and chips will be offered from the brewery, or food can be purchased from Montezuma’s Mexican Restaurant which is located next door.
As for the name behind the brewery? It’s here where Kevin really wanted the local pride to shine; “I’ve been homebrewing off and on for over 10 years and have wanted to do this since I started. We wanted to really pay homage to the town of Waynesboro so I did some digging and found that the town’s original deed was for 633 acres. That number stuck and a name was born!”
Can’t make it to the brewery for the opening? Make sure to follow them on Facebook to keep up with their growth for yourself.
