Back in April 2023, we brought you the news that Our Town Brewery would be expanding with a taproom in Philadelphia.

The new taproom is located in the Francisville neighborhood of Philadelphia at 1519 Ridge Avenue and is ready to host its grand opening on February 8th.

We spoke with Rob Tarves, co-owner and brewer of Our Town Brewery, to learn more about the new location and what beer fans can expect. You can read our full conversation here.

The new space is a taproom only, and all brewing will still take place at Our Town Brewing’s Lancaster location. The brewery will be opening on the first floor of a brand-new building, as the only commercial space in the entire building, with 18 apartment units above them. They will occupy about 1,700 sq/ft total, with the main taproom at about 1,100 sq/ft.

There will be seating for 40-45 people in the taproom, with a 16 ft bar, seating about 8. There are 16 taps at the bar (including 2 Lukr side pull taps), and they’ll also serve cider and draft cocktails.

The space also has a 600 sq/ft beer garden in the back, and some space out front (the entire windows in the front can be slid open) on the sidewalk for about 20 people as well. There is a dog park right next to the beer garden, and they’re looking into how to accommodate dog owners.
