Attic Brewing Company is releasing their annual Women’s Collaboration beer this Saturday, March 27th, 2021. This year’s beer is named “Solidary ‘Shine”.
Every year in honor of Women’s History Month, breweries across the country partner with The Pink Boots Society to brew beers that raise money to help educate and empower women in the brewing industry. This year, Attic Brewing is taking it to another level.
Solidarity ‘Shine will also be raising money for the Germantown Mutual Aid Fund, a woman run organization in Germantown, that has raised and distributed over $95,560 to neighbors affected by Covid-19. For each beer sold, $1 will go to The Pink Boots Society, and $1 will go to the Germantown Mutual Aid Fund.
Laura Lacy, President of Attic Brewing Company, heard about the Germantown Mutual Aid Fund and was amazed by what these women were doing in Germantown. “They volunteer their time to raise money and help neighbors affected by Covid-19 pay their bills. So many people in our neighborhood are hurting financially and there aren’t many resources for people to turn to. Our brewery believes in shared prosperity and this 100% aligns with our mission and values.”
Solidary ‘Shine is a 6.9% India Pale Lager is brewed with the 4th annual Yakima Chief Pink Boots hop blend and fermented with Imperial Organic yeast. The name was created by the women at the Germantown Mutual Aid Fund to express that we are all interconnected, everyone has ways they can “give back”, and we are united together in our need for a better world. The label was designed by local artist Gina Giles.
The beer will be available on draft and in 16oz cans starting Saturday, March 27th, 2021. To celebrate the beer release, Attic Brewing Co. will be hosting live music by female musicians all day Saturday 3/27, and Sunday 3/28 in their outdoor beer garden.
