Less than four years after opening in downtown Berwick, Anomaly Craft Brewing is getting ready to expand with a second location in Williamsport.
Owner Nicholas Oliver confirmed to Breweries in PA that the brewery has purchased the former Riepstine’s Pub property at 913 Arch Street in Williamsport and is targeting an opening by the end of August 2026.
The new location will bring Anomaly’s lineup of house-brewed beers to Williamsport while partnering with Rebz Pizza to provide food. The space already features a full kitchen, indoor seating, an outdoor patio, and room to host future events.
“We’ve been looking for the right second location for a while,” Oliver told Breweries in PA. “This building checked all the boxes and allows us to grow without moving brewing operations out of Berwick.”
Anomaly first opened in 2022 at 135 W. Front Street in Berwick, operating out of a historic building that had previously housed the Oliver family’s coffee shop. Since opening, the brewery has developed a reputation for German-inspired lagers, lower ABV beers, rotating seasonal releases, and creative specialty offerings. Rather than keeping the same tap list year-round, the brewery regularly rotates its selection, giving customers something new to try on nearly every visit.
The Williamsport location will initially pour Anomaly beers brewed in Berwick across approximately eight to ten taps, with plans to eventually add Pennsylvania-made wine and spirits to the menu. Oliver said the brewery also hopes the added demand from a second taproom will eventually support expanding beer production back in Berwick.
The move by Anomaly brings another independent craft brewery to Williamsport’s growing beer scene. The brewery is located near the city’s Lumber Yard sports complex, an area that draws families and visitors throughout much of the year.
Oliver said partnering with Rebz Pizza allows both businesses to focus on what they do best while creating a destination where customers can enjoy fresh craft beer alongside Detroit-style pizza.
With the second location expected to open later this month, Anomaly Craft Brewing is preparing to introduce its beers to a new audience while continuing to grow its original Berwick taproom.
