Bald Birds Brewing will close its King of Prussia facility at 250 King Manor Drive at the end of the month as the brewery refocuses its business on manufacturing and production.

The location, which occupies the former Workhorse Brewing facility, was acquired by Bald Birds earlier this year. While the brewery continued operating from the space, owner Joey Feerrar said the facility ultimately wasn’t the right fit for the company’s long-term goals.

“The facility just wasn’t the right fit for our manufacturing model,” Feerrar told Breweries in PA. “We’re going to focus on what we do best.”

According to Feerrar, the former Workhorse facility was designed primarily as a traditional brewery and taproom, making it less compatible with Bald Birds’ growing production and co-packing business.

The closure only affects the King of Prussia location. Bald Birds will continue operating its breweries in Audubon and Jersey Shore, PA, with production and distribution remaining a primary focus moving forward.

While one location is closing, Feerrar said the company is far from slowing down. He hinted that additional announcements involving B3 Beverage Company and potential future locations could be coming soon.

For now, Bald Birds is concentrating on strengthening its existing operations while positioning the company for its next phase of growth.
