As we have reported in the past, there are many breweries in PA who are currently (or have formerly) offering a handcrafted hard seltzer. However, there are a few PA breweries who have taken it a bit further than just producing a one-off for guests.
Below are breweries in PA who have crafted an entire brand around hard seltzers.
Evil Genius – Evil Genius Seltzer Company
Evil Genius recently introduced a full line of canned seltzers under “The Evil Genius Seltzer Company”. They even went as far as creating their own Instagram page for the brand. The current variety pack offers three flavors; Grapefruit, Black Cherry and Lemon & Lime.
Grist House – Seltza Drip
It should come as no surprise that a brewery like Grist House would take their creativity to the next level with their own seltzer brand. If you have ever enjoyed any of the offerings coming from the Pittsburgh brewery then a seltzer option just makes sense.
“Seltza Drip” was introduced earlier this year and has already produced many different flavor profiles. And much like the other breweries on this list, you can regularly find these offerings being canned and available to go. But unlike some of these other breweries, Grist House’s seltzers are much more fruit-forward and worth the try.
Iron Hill Brewery – Rivet Hard Seltzer
Iron Hill Brewery and Restaurant recently announced their newest style release, Rivet Hard Seltzer, available on tap at all Iron Hill locations in a rotation of many flavors. The brewery believed in the brand so much they recently started canning them.
With a very drinkable and fruity flavor profile, Iron Hill’s Rivet Hard Seltzer pairs perfectly with many of Iron Hill’s vegetable or fruit forward dishes. Pairings include POG Rivet with the Teriyaki Grilled Chicken Breast, which features a tangy wasabi vinaigrette that plays perfectly with the citrusy fruit blend. Pair Blueberry Acai Rivet with the Salmon Burger Bahn Mi for an explosion of fresh flavors from cilantro, cucumber and pickled veggies and the crisp taste of the blueberry acai. End your meal with Black Cherry Rivet and a slice of Iron Hill’s Cheesecake topped with fresh berries, raspberry sauce and whipped cream and you’ll thank us later.
“We chose the name Rivet because it so perfectly described our introduction to a new trend. You can’t be in the business for as long as we have without adapting to the latest trends,” says Iron Hill Director of Brewery Operations Mark Edelson. “Especially now, with a completely changed landscape, it was important for us to can one of our more popular newest additions so our guests could enjoy from the comfort of their own homes.”
Levante Brewing – ReVibe Seltzer
This should come to no surprise to anyone who knows this Chester County brewery. They are at the forefront of a lot of innovation within the brewing industry. And that is no different as they recently introduced their Revibe Seltzer Brand.
Revibe currently offers many different flavors such as Peach Passionfruit, Peach Bellini, Mango Lime, and Berry Mojito. The brand is available at the West Chester taproom, for home delivery or at local distributors.
Round Guys Brewing – Gimme Seltzer
A staple in the Montgomery County beer scene, Round Guys Brewing recently introduced their very own seltzer as “Gimme Seltzer”.
“Gimme Seltzer by Round Guys Brewing Company creates a refreshingly craft experience, utilizing gluten-free sugars to create an alcohol base consisting of 151 calories, 6g of carbs, and weighing in at a sessionable 5.1% alc/vol”
With a handful of flavors available in cans, there are plenty of options for all who are interested in giving the brand a taste.
