BRÜ DADDY’S Brewing Wins at US Open Beer Championship For 3rd Year In A Row

Allentown Brewery Takes Home a National Award For The 3rd Year in a Row

BRÜ DADDY’S Brewing Company has announced it is the recipient of a Bronze Award at the 2022 U.S. Open Beer Championship for its In Da Pub English Bitter. The entry competed in the Bitter category.

Last year, BRÜ DADDY’S took home a Bronze Award for its “Odd Quad of Todd” barrel-aged beer and in 2020, Bru Daddy’s captured a Silver Award for its Black Sheep Schwarzbier.

The U.S. Open Beer Championship is an annual international brewing competition and is one of the top three beer competitions in the United States. Beers are submitted from all over the world and rated by a panel of judges. This year, over 9,000 beers representing 150 different styles of beer were entered in the competition. There were only a handful other Pennsylvania breweries that received awards, including Desperate Times Brewing (Carlisle, PA), Wallenpaupack Brewing (Hawley, PA), and Wolf Brewing (Mechanicsburg, PA).

Other notable breweries winning in 2022 included Sam Adam’s, Bell’s Brewery, Topling Goliath and Deschute’s.

BRÜ DADDY’S In Da Pub is one of Head Brewer, Todd Reinhardt’s favorite beers to brew and drink. “The key to brewing this beer is hitting the balance between hops, malt and yeast expression and I like that challenge” said Reinhardt, who also designed the flagship Haze Daddy IPA and Hamilton Street Helles Lager, both very popular beers in the BRÜ DADDY’S lineup.

BRÜ DADDY’S is slated to open their production brewery in the Fall of 2022. The new brewery on S. 10th Street in Allentown is expected to help meet the demand for BRÜ DADDY’S beer, as the local brand grows. “The production brewery will significantly expand our capacity and give us a lot more flexibility to create new beers”, said Reinhardt. BRÜ DADDY’S Haze Daddy IPA is one of the more popular beers on-tap at Coca Cola Park and at the PPL Center in Allentown. The brewer inked deals with both the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs and the Lehigh Valley Phantoms for naming rights at the craft beer bars at Coca Cola Park and the PPL Center.

BRÜ DADDY’S Brewing Co. opened in downtown Allentown across from the PPL Center in November 2019 and began canning their beer for to-go sales in November 2020. The surreal label art of each beer plays off the mural at BRÜ DADDY’S and was designed by Denton Burrows, a NYC commercial street artist with ties to Lehigh University in Bethlehem.

BRÜ DADDY’S Brewing Co. touts their GOOD BEER, REAL FOOD and COOL VIBES and has developed a reputation for serving food that’s as good as the beer. Hand-crafted, wood-fired artisan pizza is a favorite, but the scratch kitchen menu also features shareables, handhelds, burgers, wings and salads. The outdoor beer garden is a popular spot downtown with authentic Bavarian beer garden tables and overhead heaters.
